Founder, Creative Director, Operations Manager

 With a passion for transforming spaces and a meticulous eye for detail, Calista has dedicated her career to creating unforgettable, elevated events. As an experienced wedding planner and designer, she specializes in curating drapery and lighting experiences that bring each client’s unique vision to life.

From sweeping ceiling drapes to intricate custom backdrops, Calista ensures every detail is flawlessly executed, on the back end. Her love for design shines through in every installation, creating seamless, stress-free experiences that are as beautiful as they are memorable. Whether coordinating vendors, managing timelines, or refining the perfect drapery concept, she brings both creativity and precision to every project.

As Director of Operations, Calista oversees the day-to-day operations of Drape My Day Charleston, ensuring each department is supported and that all events run smoothly from concept to execution. With a background in Management and Marketing, she blends organizational expertise with a designer’s eye, delivering exceptional results for both clients and vendors.

Most recently, Calista partnered with Lauren to purchase and relaunch Drape My Day, continuing the legacy of luxury event design while focusing on drapery, lighting, and fully customized event experiences. She is thrilled to help clients transform their spaces into unforgettable, elevated celebrations.

Lauren

Co- Owner + Co-Creative

A natural leader with a passion for helping others, Lauren brings creativity, organization, and a meticulous eye for design to every event she touches. With a background as an educator and basketball coach, she has honed her skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and executing plans with precision—qualities that now translate seamlessly into luxury event design and drapery installations.

In 2016, Lauren rediscovered her lifelong passion for creating unforgettable experiences, launching Direct My Day to ensure couples could enjoy their wedding day stress-free. Over the years, she has expanded her expertise across Charleston and the Lowcountry, launching Direct My Bar and most recently Drape My Day, offering curated drapery and custom design services to elevate any celebration.

As Co-Founder & Co- Creative, Lauren leads the creative vision for Drape My Day, designing stunning drapery, custom backdrops, and cohesive event experiences that reflect each couple’s unique style. Her goal is to transform spaces into elegant, unforgettable moments while maintaining a seamless, all-in-one experience for clients.

Outside of design, Lauren enjoys the gym, the beach, time with her family, her dogs, and her faith, all of which inspire the creativity and energy she brings to every event.

Director of Lighting Design & On-Site Experience

Cameron is the visionary behind every lighting installation at Drape My Day, transforming spaces into immersive, unforgettable experiences. Whether it’s elegant chandeliers, romantic café lights, dynamic lasers, or custom projections, Cameron designs each installation with precision, creativity, and an eye for how lighting enhances the entire event atmosphere. Most recently, he led all lighting design and installations for the iconic Charleston Place Hotel Christmas Displays, showcasing his ability to elevate even the most prestigious spaces.

Beyond his creative talent, Cameron is an exceptional on-site leader. He and his team work tirelessly to ensure every detail is flawlessly executed and every challenge has a seamless solution. His expertise allows clients and planners to relax, knowing that every technical and aesthetic element is perfectly managed from setup through breakdown.

Off the drapery clock, Cameron’s creativity extends into the holidays, where he affectionately becomes “Papa Elf,” transforming homes with spectacular Christmas light installations. His dedication, ingenuity, and hands-on approach make him an invaluable part of the Drape My Day team, ensuring every event shines—literally and figuratively.

Christi

Director of Marketing + Social Media, Brand Strategy

Christi brings a unique blend of creativity and strategy to Drape My Day, ensuring every project shines both visually and digitally. With a background in photography, content creation, and a degree in Graphic Design, she has documented over 100 weddings and has a deep understanding of how design and storytelling intersect.

As Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy, Christi leads the brand’s visual and social presence, crafting engaging content, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, and helping communicate the artistry of our drapery and lighting services.

When she’s not curating content or designing campaigns, you’ll find Christi enjoying time with friends and family, snuggling with her cat Loki, improving her pickleball skills, or making the most of her annual Walt Disney World pass. Her creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to storytelling make her an invaluable part of bringing every Drape My Day event to life.

We start by understanding your style, inspiration, and venue requirements. Bring all your Pinterest boards, mood images, and ideas—this is where your vision takes shape!

STEP 2 / Budgeting & Planning
We work with your budget to ensure you’re getting the most value while maintaining luxury and quality. Our use of sustainable and reusable fabrics helps keep costs down without compromising on elegance.
 

STEP 3 / Custom Design
This is the fun part! We select fabrics, colors, and finishes tailored to your space and style. From swoops and criss-crosses to bespoke backdrops, we design every detail to reflect your event’s personality.
 

STEP 4 / Coordination
We collaborate closely with your planner, venue, and vendors to make sure your drapery installation is flawless. Every detail—from timing to placement—is carefully coordinated to ensure a seamless setup and breakdown.
 

STEP 5 / Installation & Execution
On the big day, we bring your vision to life. While you focus on enjoying your celebration, our team is hard at work executing every detail—from drapery placement to final touches—so your space looks picture-perfect from start to finish.
